Tammerfest, the biggest city festival in Finland, gathered tremendously attenders this year also. Over hundred artists entertained the visitors during the 15-year-old festival that lasted for four days.
One of the main arenas was Keskustorin teltta and its Kolmas Nainen’s and Tehosekoitin’s gigs were sold out. The Finnish rock bands Yö and Popeda performed in Vuolteentori and the event was sold out too. In Pakkahuone the area was crowded because of the metal and rock bands Viikate, Nicole and Kotiteollisuus.
Tammerfest had a wide scale of various artists from metal band Soulfly to Paula Koivuniemi and from hip-hop master Cheek to Eppu Normaali.
In addition over 20 clubs, Kirjastotalo park and M/S Tammerkoski -cruise offered great experiences.
”Tammerfest received a magnificent reception because over 80 000 people arrived to enjoy the music. Particularly delightful was that some events were sold out. It was really important to notice that the audience enjoyed despite few showers”, the producer of Tammerfest Riki Huhtala says.
Tammerfest will be organized next time on 14th – 17th of July in 2010.
